A high pitched hum can be heard throughout the forest. Due to their faulty receiver, V.III had remained oblivious to it until now. But after traveling north substantially, it has become too loud to ignore.
<Decipher signal>
[ATTEMPTING TO RESTART RADIO RECIEVER...]
[ATTEMPT FAILED… UNIT IS DAMAGED BEYOND OPERABILITY...]
With no means to decipher the signal from this distance, V.III continues onward. Maybe if they can find the source of this signal, they can read it manually, or even use its components to repair their own radio receiver.
As they walk, they take their time to enjoy the nature that surrounds them. But while appreciating the view, they notice a large spire in the distance. In fact, it's in the exact direction the noise is coming from. May this be the source?..
A memory appears to V.III, A memory of this place. They remember looking out of a tall building, at that exact spire.
<Radio tower>
A radio tower may provide a way to reconnect to signal Delta #82, and the machine may be able to scavenge the parts to repair their receiver as well. V.III Looks toward the sky, it seems that the sun is much lower than it had been before. They must hurry if they wish to reach the radio station before nightfall.
After traveling a significant distance, V.III reaches the tower. Its Wire frame, and the heavily weathered red and white paint make V.III sure that this is the one from their memories. As the sun sets, they wonder if this is it. If after connecting to Delta #82, they will learn everything they've missed, and everything they've forgotten. Where is everyone? What happened to the world? Why were they frozen? And why do they inhabit this mechanical body? Without hesitation, they enter the station.
